Oh my this cute little guy literaly takes five minutes to make!! and the options are endless for what he can be (earrings, applique….)

Skill level: Fun and Easy 🙂

Measurements: 4 1/2″ long.

What will you need:

Hook: 4mm/G

2 wiggly eyes

Glue

Yarn: CARON Simply Soft, Worsted weight 100% ACRYLIC 6 oz/170 g – 315 yds / 288m

  • Dark sage – Color A
  • Red – Color B
Abbreviations:

ch

chain

sc

single Crochet

sl st

slip stitch

half double crochet

double crochet

repeat

Instructions

Foundation Row: With color A, Ch 24.

Row 1: Sl st in 2nd and then in 3rd ch from hook, *1 hdc in next ch, 1 sc in next ch, Sl st in next ch, rep from * 4 more times, *1 sc in next ch, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 dc in next ch, ch 1, 1 dc in next ch, 1 hdc in next ch, 1 sc in next ch**, 2 sc in last ch, Continue to other side of Foundation Row, rep from * to ** (start from that same last ch), Sl st to next ch. Fasten off.

 

take a 4″ piece of color B yarn and fold it into half. Make a fringe (like ends in a cool scarf) and place it under the snakes pointy mouth. Cut so it will be about half an inch. (or however short you’d like it).

Glue Wiggly eyes on as shown in picture.
