It’s 4th of July and time to get dressed up and crafty accessorized to go watch some fireworks! Here is a fun way to display your love for the holiday. You can use it as a brooch, Patch on your jeans, Ribbon as a prize, an embellishment on your crafty projects or whatever else you can think of! 🙂
What you’ll need:
Yarn: Small amounts of any yarn. I used CARON Simply Soft, Worsted weight 100% ACRYLIC 6 oz/170 g – 315 yds / 288m
- White – COLOR A
- Ocean – COLOR B
- Red – COLOR C
|sl st||slip stitch|
|*||repeat from *|
*Do not join but work in a continuous rnd.
Foundation rnd: With color A, ch 2 plus one starting ch.
Rnd 1: Work 5 sc in 2nd ch from hook.
Rnd 2: *ch 3, Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc in next sc, Sl st in next FL sc, rep from * 4 more times, switch to B in last st.
Rnd 3: Working BL’s only this round, 1 sc in each of next 5 sc.
Rnd 4: 2 sc in each of next 5 sc. (10 sc)
Rnd 5: *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in next sc, rep from * 4 more times. (15 sc)
Rnd 6: *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 2 sc, rep from * 4 more times. (20 sc)
Rnd 7: *2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 3 sc, rep from * 4 more times, Switch to C last st. (25 sc)
Rnd 8: Working BL’s only this round, 1 sc in each of next 25 sc.
Rnd 9: 2 sc in next sc, 1 sc in each of next 24 sc, Switch to A in last st. (26 sc)
Rnd 10: *ch 5, sl st in next sc, rep from * around. Fasten off and weave in ends.
